Cultivating a culture of openness

Openness means that information is accessible to every user that wants it.

We currently hide behind encrypted messages and intranets because we are afraid that our online information will be used against us. Open information should not become weapons for retaliation. We must work toward a culture that embraces open experimentation so that we can ensure the continued evolution of humanity. That "open culture" produces a free exchange of information where people are not persecuted for what they say; the more information we have, the better we can make informed decisions.
