Cultivating a culture of openness

Openness means that information is accessible to every user that wants it.

We currently hide behind encrypted messages and intranets because we fear our online information will be used against us. Open information should not become a weapon for retaliation. We must work toward a culture that embraces open experimentation to ensure humanity's continued evolution. That "open culture" produces a free exchange of information where people are not persecuted for what they say; the more information we have, the better we can make informed decisions.

Limiting Factors of Openness

Remaining radically open often alienates people. Folks often say I “overwhelm them.” That is not an issue in my mind, as all information should always be shared. Overwhelming someone with information becomes a limiting factor - and limiting factors are necessary to triage one’s time.
