A good family (Strengthening My Family) can lead to a stronger society (Strengthening Society)and of course a deeper love partnership (Strengthening My Love Partnership). Of course, raising kids is hard. Promoting a happy childhood takes the mind (Intellectual Expansion), muscle (Physical Exercise), and technique (Technical). We'll of course also have lots of fun days in the park (+1 Sun Enjoyment), with lots of good meals (Tasty Healthy Satisfaction), and weird art projects (Artistic). This activity includes Ethical Business values because no good business ignores the greater importance of being a good parent. O and of course it takes a village to raise a kid (+1 for Strengthening Friendships).
@Grace B. and I have discussed our values around raising kids. Rationality is a central tenant for me. I would love to start nurturing a child’s ability to reason as soon as possible. Hopefully, the child/children work for what they want by cultivating better reasons for why they should have something. The ability to reason fuels a desire for conversation, and the ability to converse openly leads to deeper intellectual capability which hopefully leads to greater happiness.
Greater happiness also depends on a healthy relationship with money. For better or worse, our society is built on cash. Many children don’t think about financial independence until they are out of a home (usually in college). Perhaps a basic income, given from a young age, could give the child a better understanding of the value of cash. I know @Grace B. has also expressed that as an interest, and I would love to work with children to cultivate an understanding in which money is seen as a tool rather than something intimidating, abstract, or useless.
